Rob Knowsley has spent the last 30 years with growth-oriented legal practices. He founded KMS in early 1988.

Rob is unashamedly passionate about assisting his fellow lawyers to build into their firms a strong ongoing capability to optimise their investments of money, education, experience and time… to produce proper profits… dramatically better profits than most assume possible.

He has a long track record of making these vast improvements happen in relatively short periods of time in all manner of firms.

Rob brings to his consultancy advice a wide experience from a range of legal roles, having practised as a Barrister and Solicitor, employed lawyer, partner and managing partner, sole practitioner, and in both private practice and Government.

He has served on various Law Society councils and committees, and Government committees, and lectured and written widely on legal practice management.

Rob's day to day contact with all manner of firms, especially those where he is retained on an annual basis as a practice coach, gives him a constantly updated flow of information about the changing practical problems the profession is facing. He has been paid for his input into over 1000 legal firms in one form or another, excluding seminar attendees.

A significant part of every business day is spent advising lawyers in person, or by phone, fax or e-mail.

He is a Member of the Institute of Management Consultants in Australia, of long-standing, and adheres fully to the Institute's Code of Ethics.

Now 52 years of age, he has been married to Wendy for 30 years, and they are the proud parents of Dean 29 and Candice 24.

Rob and Wendy spend part of every week living and working at "Knowsley Park", near Bathurst in country New South Wales, and part of the time in Sydney, or wherever else the KMS consulting role demands.
